Turkmenistan is in favour of creating a UN Security Conference on Central Asia and its neighbouring regions, local television Altyn Asyr reports.
The head of the People’s Council (Halk Maslahaty) Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said this during his visit to Tajikistan. He also called for support for the work of the UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia, which has been based in Ashgabat since 2007.
